Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to lead and oversee financial operations within our Accounting department, specifically supporting Halliburton’s manufacturing business. This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities supporting the general ledger, sub-systems, and related business applications, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.

 

Job Duties and Qualifications:

  • Support a manufacturing facility, ensuring financial operations align with business needs.
  • Cost management accounting experience preferred, along with supply chain expertise.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants and administrative staff, including performance monitoring, development objectives, and regular performance reviews.
  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Interpret and apply company policies, internal controls, and accounting principles to financial transactions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management using diverse communication tools.
  • Drive process improvements, enhance internal controls, and perform risk assessments to optimize financial operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of forecasts, annual business plans, and business analyses.
  • Utilize and demonstrate expertise in financial applications such as SAP and Hyperion, as well as advanced Microsoft Office tools.
  • Manage project deliverables related to financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting-related roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP or country-specific accounting principles.
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, and other financial systems preferred.
  • Advanced Power BI and Alteryx experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • This position is 100% on-site based in Houston, TX or Alvarado, TX. Candidates must be willing to work in a collaborative, office-based setting to support business needs effectively.
