Job Description

The Walpole Catholic Collaborative, consisting of Blessed Sacrament Parish and School, St. Mary Parish, and St. Francis Cemetery is seeking a part-time (20 hrs/wk) bookkeeper to be responsible for the bookkeeping transactions for all entities within the collaborative.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Together with the school bookkeeper, perform accounting/bookkeeping functions including, but not limited to, payables and receivables and all other revenue and expenses of the two parishes, school and cemetery
• Prepare and process bi-weekly payrolls for the parishes and school
• Download, review, and code credit card transactions allocating between entities; upload into accounting system; match receipts to credit card transactions.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements for all Collaborative entities in a timely manner
• Perform account reconciliations and analyses as needed; prepare interim and other miscellaneous reports as needed.
• Maintain organized and accurate files, both hard copy and digital
• Assist in preparation for audits
• Assist in the improvement of processes and procedures

• BA/BS in business, accounting, or related field with 3+ years related experience or equivalent preferred.
• Experience using finance and accounting software is required; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Experience with BILL, and/or Paylocity is a plus.
• Experience administering payroll is preferred
• Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills; familiarity with electronic document management is preferred
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with other parish staff and small groups of volunteers.
• Must be able to handle confidential and sensitive matters with tact, respect, and discretion.
• Must believe in the mission of the Catholic Church, and possess the ability to project a faith-filled presence by applying Catholic principles to operational situations.
