Whiskey Dick's Inc is seeking to hire a part-time door person for our tavern in down town Scranton, PA. The door person is responsible for checking and verifying guest ID's, swiping them into our data capture scanner, and refusing anyone not of age to enter. This can be a very social position as many of our patrons have been coming for years! Our bartending staff is friendly and welcoming. Candidates should expect to stand at the front of the establishment for periods of time to be sure everyone entering has valid ID and are minimum 21 years of age. This is not a bouncer position.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 ears of age or older
• High School Diploma/GED is not required but recommended
• Valid Driver's License or ID card
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
• Excellent communication skills, excellent customer service skills, and ability to maintain professionalism
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
• Must be available Friday and Saturday Evenings between the hours of 8pm to 2am
• Part-Time position with set regular hours. This position may ask for some flexability for special event weekends. Employer will coordinate with advance notice.
• Must have transportation to and from work. Public transit is not available during position hours.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Standing for brief and long periods of time
• Checking Government issued ID's and swiping them into our data capture scanner
• Validating guests match their identification photo
• Ability to professionally refuse entry to any patron trying to enter the establishment that is not of legal age or not permitted based on tavern policy.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week

Schedule:

• Evening shift
• Weekends only
