Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Injection Molding Apprentice to join our team. This apprenticeship provides hands-on training in injection molding operations, including machine setup, troubleshooting, and quality control. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will develop the technical skills necessary to advance in the field of plastic injection molding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Assist in setting up, operating, and maintaining injection molding machines.
• Mold Setup & Changeovers: Learn to install, remove, and adjust molds for different production runs.
• Process Monitoring: Observe machine operations to identify defects and ensure high-quality production.
• Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and correcting processing issues, including material flow and mold performance.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and customer standards.
• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials, ensuring proper mixing and drying of resins.
• Safety & Maintenance: Follow all workplace safety protocols and assist in routine machine maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical coursework is a plus).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic math and measurement skills for quality inspections.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.

Salary info:

$16 - $22 / hr
