Responsibilities:
Assist with payroll functions, ensuring all employees and members are paid on time with a strict deadline, accurately, and in compliance with multistate and federal regulations. Duties include accurate and timely reporting, billing, payment reconciliation, posting of all payroll and benefit related items.
Part of the Fiscal Team, you will be responsible for accurately entering employee hours, salary and pay data, calculating taxes, deductions, union contributions, insurance premiums, processing new hires and terminations, maintaining payroll records, time off calendar and ensuring timely and correct payroll payments are distributed.
Prepare direct deposit files: transmit ACH files to meet transfer deadline; complete ACH Bank verifications authorization for transmission.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements as required by the Federal and State government, Including, but not limited to, W-2, Federal and State tax returns, coordinate quarterly and annual tax filings with Fiscal Team and ensure compliance with Department of Labor employer requirements.
Assist with government, union, and certified payroll reporting.
Review resulting reports for accuracy, ensuring appropriate controls are in place and identifying any discrepancies or problems.
Process enrollment forms and apply respective payroll deductions for employee benefits (i.e., medical insurance coverage, retirement, etc.). Maintain employee 401K package compliance and provide data to 3rd party.
Perform additional various clerical duties and tasks to meet the ongoing needs of the business as needed or required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience within the construction industry preferred but not required.
Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Must possess a valid unrestricted Driver's License
Expected Hours 20 - 25 per week Monday to Thursday
$26.00 an hour Part-time
