"We are seeking a Medical Assistant for a 13-week travel/contract assignment in Rochester, New York. Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply."

Job Details:

• Shift: 8hr Days

• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

• Weekly Pay Rate: $360 - $400

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist nurses and physicians with patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
• Perform basic medical procedures such as drawing blood, EKGs, and wound care.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and medical treatments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems (EHR).
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals.
• Educate patients on medication, treatment plans, and wellness practices.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) (Preferred but not always required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification.

• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems .
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff.

Travel & Local Considerations:

• Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
